Richard Jeffrey Newman is an essayist, poet and translator who has been publishing his work since 1988. His first book, a translation, Selections from Saadi’s Gulistan, the 13th century Persian masterpiece, was published in 2004 by Global Scholarly Publications. His Selections from Saadi’s Bustan is forthcoming in 2006. He will be translating selections from three more books for GSP: Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, Nezami’s Haft Peykar and Attar’s Elahi Nameh. |
